Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

The Department of Chemistry invites applications for full-time tenure-track (Assistant Professor) and tenured (Associate and Full Professor) positions in all major areas of chemistry including analytical, chemical biology, environmental, inorganic, materials, organic, physical, and theoretical.  Candidates will be expected to establish a high-quality, externally funded research program and have a commitment to outstanding graduate and undergraduate teaching.  Salary is negotiable, and the target start date is August 16, 2012.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in hand or show clear evidence of completion by the time the appointment begins.  They are expected to present evidence of excellence in research and teaching, and those applying at the Associate and Full Professor level should have demonstrated evidence of leadership in the field at the national and international level, respectively.
